Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all purchases of AquaNest fish tanks (mini desktop, standard home, premium ecosystem models), 配套 accessories (filtration systems, LED lights, CO₂ injection kits, substrate, water conditioners), and related services (aquatic setup consultations, maintenance workshops) (collectively “Products/Services”) from AquaNest Aquatics Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us”). By placing an order via our website, authorized pet stores, or customer support channels, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all product-specific guidelines (e.g., tank assembly manuals, filter maintenance guides) provided at the time of purchase.
1. Order Acceptance & Modifications
Your order constitutes a request to purchase Products/Services, not a binding contract. We reserve the right to accept, reject, or adjust orders if: (a) Products are out of stock (due to high demand for premium ecosystem tanks or supply chain delays for ultra-clear low-iron glass); (b) Product details contain errors (e.g., misstated tank dimensions, incorrect filter flow rate specifications); or (c) your shipping address is incompatible with large/heavy items (e.g., 50-gallon premium tanks require ground shipping to accessible locations—remote areas with limited delivery infrastructure may be excluded). A binding contract is formed only when we issue a written order confirmation (email or physical document) that includes item specs, total cost (taxes, shipping, and service fees), delivery timelines, and any required deposits.
Post-confirmation modifications (e.g., upgrading from a 10-gallon standard tank to a 20-gallon model, adding a CO₂ kit to a premium tank) must be submitted in writing within 24 hours. We will confirm feasibility and any cost/timeline adjustments (e.g.,
150 for tank upgrades, 3–5 business days for accessory additions). For bulk orders (10+ units for pet stores, aquariums, or commercial spaces like hotels), modifications are prohibited once production or shipment begins (typically 4 business days post-confirmation); cancellations will result in forfeiture of the 25% non-refundable deposit.
2. Product Specifications & Safety Compliance
All AquaNest fish tanks meet global safety and quality standards: ASTM C1499 (U.S. glass safety), EN 12150 (EU glass durability), and AS/NZS 2208 (Australia impact resistance). Product pages and included manuals clearly list key specs: tank capacity (2–50 gallons), glass thickness (3–8mm, varying by size), filter flow rate (50–300 gallons per hour), and LED light wattage (5–20W). Minor cosmetic variations (e.g., subtle differences in frame color, slight texturing on filter housings) are normal and do not qualify as defects.
You are responsible for: (a) Assembling the tank per the manual (improper assembly—e.g., unevenly tightening glass seams—may cause leaks or cracks); (b) Using only AquaNest-approved accessories (non-approved filters may overload the tank’s ecosystem, while incompatible substrates can damage filtration systems); (c) Following weight limits (do not place heavy objects on tank lids, as this may cause glass stress). We provide safety tutorials but are not liable for property damage (e.g., water damage from leaks), injury, or aquatic life loss caused by improper setup or use.
3. Payment Terms
  • Methods: We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), debit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay. Commercial customers (e.g., pet retailers, aquaculture businesses) may qualify for net-30 payment terms (subject to credit approval via a completed application and business license verification).
  • Deposits: A 25% non-refundable deposit is required for bulk/commercial orders; standard in-stock Products require full payment at checkout (no deposit needed).
  • Pricing: All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) for U.S. orders and local currency for international orders (e.g., EUR for EU, GBP for UK). Prices include applicable sales tax (except for international orders, where customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees are the customer’s responsibility). Quotes are valid for 7 days; prices may adjust due to material cost increases (e.g., low-iron glass, stainless steel filter parts) or currency fluctuations.
  • Late Payments: For commercial orders with payment plans, unpaid balances incur a 2% monthly late fee. We may delay delivery or cancel orders (forfeiting deposits) if payment is 10+ days overdue.
4. Shipping & Delivery
  • Domestic Shipping (U.S.): Free standard shipping (5–7 business days) for orders over

    60 for 50-gallon premium models). White-glove delivery (including unboxing, inspection assistance, and basic setup guidance) is available for an additional

  • International Shipping: Available to select countries (EU, Canada, Australia, Japan) with fees ranging from
    150 (depending on weight and destination). Delivery times vary (10–14 business days) and are subject to customs processing delays (we are not liable for hold-ups). All international orders require a signature upon delivery to confirm receipt of undamaged goods.
  • Inspection: Inspect Products immediately upon delivery. Note damage (e.g., cracked glass, broken filter parts, dented frames) on the courier’s delivery receipt, take photos of the packaging and Product, and notify us within 48 hours. We will replace damaged items free of charge or issue a full refund; failure to report damage within 48 hours voids coverage.
5. Warranties & Returns
  • Warranties: All AquaNest fish tanks include a limited warranty: 2 years for mini desktop tanks, 3 years for standard home tanks, and 5 years for premium ecosystem tanks (covers defects in materials/workmanship, e.g., leaking glass seams, malfunctioning filters, faulty LED lights). Accessories have a 1-year warranty. Extended warranties (up to 7 years for premium tanks) are available for purchase at checkout. The warranty does not cover: (a) Wear from normal use (e.g., scratched glass, clogged filter media); (b) Damage from accidents (e.g., dropping the tank, knocking over accessories); (c) Repairs by non-AquaNest authorized technicians.
  • Returns: Standard in-stock Products (unused, in original packaging, with all parts/manuals) may be returned within 30 days for a full refund (minus shipping fees). Bulk/commercial orders are non-returnable unless defective (verified by our technical team), in which case we replace the unit or issue a pro-rated refund. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility (except for defective items, where we provide a prepaid shipping label). Used or assembled tanks are non-returnable (due to hygiene and structural integrity risks).
